In December 1944, a group of American soldiers sur In December 1944, a group of American soldiers surrendered to German forces after a battle in Malmedy, Belgium. These soldiers were executed, and they are still remembered today. This war crime is referred to as the "Malmedy Massacre."During a 2023 trip to France and Belgium, we visited the memorial along two WWII veterans and a team of volunteer aides. So many brave soldiers were lost during the second world war, and going to these sites was a profound and moving experience for all of us.
