Project Description

2014 Beloit International Film Festival – Winner of the Ken Hendricks Award For Excellence.

200 WWII and Korean War Veterans and Rosie the Riveters. 100 Assistants. 10 Badger Buses. 4 days that will change their lives!

We were honored to be invited to film the VetsRoll 2013 WWII and Korean War Honor Trip to Washington, D.C. We witnessed how this trip gave 200 WWII, Korean War Veterans and Rosie the Riveters the respect they deserved but don’t always receive. Sit back and enjoy a video that will change your perspective on thanking a veteran and how much it truly means to them! Please SHARE this video and get the word out to veterans that could go on this trip completely for FREE! Visit www.VetsRoll.org for more information, and keep up to date on our feature documentary, VetsRoll The Movie, coming in 2015!

Follow along on our trip as we travel from Beloit, WI to Washington, D.C. as VetsRoll takes these men and women on a trip of a lifetime to visit the memorials that were erected in honor of their service to our country! Learn how much this trip means to them because it gives these men and women the respect they deserve, and sometimes never got.

Hear it in their own words:
“When we came back…it wasn’t like WWII, or that matter, the Vietnam War…nobody knew we existed. The Forgotten War….It should have never been forgotten.” – William Wienand, Korean War Veteran

“I didn’t ever think I’d get treated this way in my life…I want to get home to my wife, but I hate to leave you guys” -Ray Bollinger, Korean War Veteran

“I never saw anything like it. When I come back from Korea…I got a cup of coffee and a donut. And this [the VetsRoll return home] was just absolutely fantastic! – Don Knutson, Korean War Veteran
